In building heating and air conditioning systems, up to a third of thermal cooling and heating is often lost to duct leakage. Founded on Berkeley Lab technology, Ohio-based Aeroseal has developed innovative technologies that seal from 70 to 90% of duct leaks with a guaranteed life span of 10 years. By Aeroseal estimates, they have sealed 500 million square feet of commercial space and saved more than $1 billion in energy costs in the U.S. while creating hundreds of jobs.
