Advancing Agricultural Technology
Berkeley Lab researchers are tackling new biological questions with EcoFABs, standardized experimental tools that improve reproducibility in plant-microbe research. These open-science platforms enable researchers to better understand soil and root ecosystems at scale, supporting innovation in agriculture and bioenergy production that are critical economic drivers in Kansas. By strengthening shared scientific infrastructure and data-driven research capabilities, this work supports U.S. competitiveness in agricultural technology, crop development, bio-based manufacturing, and advanced life sciences.
We collaborate with local organizations in every state across the nation to accelerate discovery, boost economies, and address national challenges.
