Berkeley Lab Tours
There are a few options for visiting Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab), each designed for specific individuals and groups:
Monthly Public Tours, BLEND (Berkeley Lab Exploration of New Discoveries) designed for students and teachers in Grades K-12 from Bay Area schools and undergraduate students from universities in the United States, and Private Tours. Tours of Berkeley Lab are free.
Berkeley Lab has monthly Public Tours held on the third Friday of every month between January – November. The Public Tour visits the Molecular Foundry, Advanced Light Source, and the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC).
*As of April 2019, touring NERSC will be subject to availability based on ongoing construction that will continue into 2020. Staff from Berkeley Lab will communicate ahead of the tour date should a visit to NERSC be possible. Should a tour not be possible, guests will learn more about the Molecular Foundry and Advanced Light Source.*
Public Tours depart at 10:00AM from Downtown Berkeley on a Lab Shuttle Bus and return to Downtown Berkeley at 12:30PM. For a map with directions from the Berkeley BART station to the public tour shuttle bus stop in Downtown Berkeley click here.
