OSHA Inspections:
- Lab
as a whole got good results
- No
Major violations
- Almost
impossible to have NO violations
- Temporary
wiring always a problem
- Eyewash
issues OSHA standards not met
- Keys
to sealed source locker left in lock
- Many
violations have already been corrected (Bldg 88)
- Final
report from OSHA will be submitted in April
SAA Issues:
- City
of Berkeley issue; Not an OSHA
issue
- 50%
OUT of compliance Across the Lab
- No
secondary containment
- Who
contributes to Cave 1 SAA at Bldg 88?
Who is in charge of it?
- Director
extremely disappointed with SAA violations (SRC Annual Meeting)
- Should
we enhance our self-inspection procedures?
- Self-assessment
training is needed Schedule for next few months
Other SRC Issues:
- Legacy
waste @ Bldg 88, also 88 machine shop, now and NSD issue
- Problem
lies with unidentified waste (no labels, etc.)

MESH Review coming soon
- Memorandum
of Understanding with Campus (Space sharing) Should be signed by
February 25th
- Students
are normally required to take Lab & Campus safety courses
Pub-3000 Compliance:
