Design and Surface Properties of Semiconductor Nanowires

Semiconductor nanowires represent one of the most important classes of nanoscale electronic materials.  While important progress has been made in nanowire research in the past decade, some of the fundamental issues about doping and surface properties are currently understood largely at the qualitative level.  Within this current project, the above-named PIs will make concerted efforts toward quantitatively understanding and controlling the surface properties of and dopant distribution within semiconductor nanowires.
