General Research Interests
Development of aberration-corrected hiigh-resolution electron microscopy with sub-Ångstrom resolution and its application to materials sciences. Quantitative image analyses to reveal the atomic structure and composition of nanomaterials in three dimensions on a single atom level. Technique development for imaging of soft/hard interfaces and research that aims at energy conservation. Application of leading edge tools to understand atom cluster formation in semiconductors and the atomic structure of soft/hard interfaces. Alteration of physical properties through structure design on the atomic scale.
