HELIOS Stars in Primetime TV Broadcast

Following the presidential debate on 7 October 2008, ABC 7 News (KGO TV) broadcast an hour-long special program called “Energy Innovation.” The show featured interviews with Paul Alivisatos talking about Helios and the use of artificial photosynthesis to produce liquid transportation fuels. Another topic of the program was the Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI), featuring Jay Keasling and Blake Simmons talking about the conversion of lignocellulose into liquid biofuels.
