Scanning Electron Microscopes

The Scanning Electron Microscopes are used to produce images of tensile specimens, ceramics and polished and etched microstructures.
They are also used to produce selective-area channeling patterns, which yield information about crystal structure and orientation.
An analytical WEM is used to produce large depth-of-field images to characterize fracture surfaces, reacted surfaces, powders, and polished and etched microstructures.
