This is obviously based on the main SUNY Stony Brook logo with the colored o's replaced by physics and astronomy related photos that have been color-tuned to preserve the main SUNY-SB logo colors. The first is an image of our sun with false coloring. The second is from a calculated collision of two gold nuclei at RHIC (from the Phenix collaboration webpages), and the last is a rendered image of a fullerene C60 molecule.
