Performance Review Process
Life Sciences Division

Written performance reviews are an important tool in managing employee performance and employee development, and are required for all career and (eligible) term employees at LBNL (Berkeley Lab). While the primary responsibility for employee development rests with the employee, supervisors are strongly encouraged to help employees identify activities that will result in more effective employee performance and contributions, as well as any required or recommended training.

This page contains the tools and resources to assist supervisors and employees in completing the performance and career management process. If you have any questions that are not addressed on this page, please contact Gail Mosley at 495-2981 or glmosley@lbl.gov.

For 2011-2012 the Life Sciences Division will continue to use three performance management processes. Click on the links below to access the process material appropriate for your situation; general resource materials are provided in the general resources section below. Select from:

Performance and Career Management (PMP) Process for all non-represented employees (S&Es, Professional, Technical and Administrative staff);

Performance, Review and Development (PRD) Process for all represented employees;

Performance/Progress Review (P2R) Process for all SX-represented employees.
