Waste Management Course Descriptions
EHS 604 - This course provides basic familiarization with requirements for hazardous waste generation, accumulation, and request for pick-up.
PGF 604 – This course is specifically designed for hazardous waste generators at the Production Genomics Facility.
EHS 610 - This training course will familiarize Waste Accumulation Area supervisors with specific regulations, procedures, and safety/environmental issues for which they are responsible in the accumulation of hazardous wastes in these areas.
EHS 611 – This class is for those individuals routinely handling electronic wastes. These are primarily Facilities and Waste Management personnel. This class is an annual requirement.
EHS 614 – This class will familiarize persons responsible for managing SAAs of the regulatory requirements.
EHS 622 – This class provides basic familiarization with requirements for radioactive and mixed waste generation, accumulation, and request for pick-up at LBNL.
EHS 623 – This course is appropriate for guests/visitors working at LBNL for <90 days under the supervision of a fully trained waste generator. The course provides basic information on hazardous waste generation and accumulation. This class can be taken via the Web.
EHS 730 - This course provides information to employees on LBNL procedures for proper management of medical waste. This class can be taken via the Web.
ENV0101 – This course is required for unescorted access to non-waste areas at the HWHF. Participants will become familiar with the hazards at Bldg 85.
ENV 630 – This course is to familiarize WM personnel with the HWHF Contingency Plan and is not required for non-WM personnel.
ENV6392 – This course provides WM personnel with information on the hazards associated with the HWHF via the HWHF Health and Safety Plan. This is not required for non-WM personnel.
