Construction Safety Startup Kit 2012

All Contractor's & their employees entering LBNL property to do any type of work are required to take the LBNL "General Employee Radiation Training" (this can be done online) & "Construction Subcontractor Safety Orientation" (onsite) courses.
These courses must be completed prior to the start of any work.

1. Construction Safety Orientation-GERT Training

     1. To prepare for taking the online training course, click on the link below to review the GERT-General Employee Radiation Training Booklet:

     2. To access the online training course, go here if you don't have an LBNL log in ID. Go here if you do have an LBNL log in ID.
     3. Go through the training and print out or email EH&S & the Construction Manager a
        copy of the training. Each employee must go through GERT every 2 years.
     4. After you have completed GERT training, click on the link below to review the Subcontractor Orientation (Construction Safety Hand Book):

     5. Construction Safety Orientations are held every Thursday morning at Bldg. 76 room 235 at 7 am. All contractors & subcontractors employees shall have completed this course prior to the start of any work at LBNL.

     6. You will then be issued a sticker for the worker's hard hats.
