Contract Requirements

Managers, principal investigators, and supervisors are responsible for the safety of contracted work by assuring that qualified contractors are selected, hazards are identified, and work is performed safety.

Procurement personnel are responsible for assuring the incorporation of the appropriate ES&H contract provisions.

Service contractors with a major presence (more than 10 personnel on site) must submit an Injury/Illness Prevention Plan to Berkeley Lab, report OSHA-recordable injuries or illnesses, and submit hours worked on site quarterly.
