The Berkeley Lab maintains an active Beryllium Safety Program to minimize potential exposure to beryllium particles. This program consists of hazard assessment, workplace evaluation, appropriate control measures for areas where potential exposures to beryllium particulate (such as dusts, mists or welding fumes) can occur, as well as, training and medical surveillance for potentially exposed individuals. The Berkeley Lab's Chronic Beryllium Disease Prevention Program (CBDPP) summarizes all efforts to minimize and reduce beryllium exposure on-site to the greatest extent possible. If you wish to learn more about the Berkeley Lab's Beryllium Safety Program or if you are concerned about your potential exposure to beryllium, please contact Shawn Roe at x7671 (SPRoe@lbl.gov).
