The
Berkeley Lab
maintains an active Beryllium Safety Management Program
to minimize potential exposure to beryllium particles
via inhalation or skin contact. This program consists
of hazard assessment, workplace evaluation, appropriate
control measures for areas where potential exposures
to beryllium particulate (such as dusts, mists or welding
fumes) can occur, as well as, training and medical surveillance
for potentially exposed individuals. The Berkeley Lab's
Chronic Beryllium Disease Prevention Program (CBDPP)
summarizes all efforts to minimize and reduce beryllium
exposure on-site to the greatest extent possible.
If
you wish to learn more about the Berkeley Lab's Beryllium
Management Program or if you are concerned about your
potential exposure to beryllium, please contact Jack
