Be Prepared!
EHS-135: All Hazards Awareness training is now online. This course is designed to increase employee general awareness of all hazards related to the Lab and to teach employees how to take the appropriate actions to protect themselves from the harmful effects of an earthquake, an urban-wildland fire, a hazardous materials substance release, and other threats faced at the Lab.

Emergency Services Mission
The mission of LBNL requires the Lab's Emergency Response Organization (ERO) to prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all natural or man-made threats to the Lab and its premises in a safe, effective, and timely manner.
The objectives of emergency planning at LBNL are to:
- Save lives and minimize injuries
- Protect the environment
- Protect Lab property
- Return LBNL to normal operations as soon as possible
Philosophy of the Emergency Services Program: The LBNL General Employee Emergency Response Procedures EPIP is based on the philosophy that proper responses can only be attained if each individual reacts appropriately and knowledgeably in an emergency.
