Blood borne Pathogen Review

This program was prepared as an introduction to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Blood borne Pathogen Standard

This standard, which was initially developed to control the potential exposure of health care workers has been applied to all workers who are at risk of exposure to pathogenic microorganisms associated with human blood and blood products.

During this first session, three clinically important viruses, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus, and Hepatitis C Virus and their close association with blood transmission will be discussed.
