Lessons Learned

The Berkeley Lab Lessons Learned Program is managed by the Office of Contract Assurance (OCA).   It was developed to help the Laboratory community learn from our mistakes (and the mistakes of others) so that we don't repeat them. Through various sources, we identify events such as accidents, mishaps and near misses and translate them into corrective actions to prevent their recurrence. The ultimate goal of the Lessons Learned Program is to continually improve our performance on an ongoing basis.  This is one of the central tenets of the Laboratory's assurance program.
