The Lawrence
Berkeley National Laboratory will be hosting the 16th International
Workshop on ECR Ion Sources.
The workshop will cover
the
major topics related to the design of ECR Ion Sources, ion beam
production, plasma diagnostics, and ion beam extraction and transport.
The workshop will include a reception on Sunday, oral presentations,
poster sessions, a conference barbeque at the LBNL 88-Inch Cyclotron
(including a tour of the cyclotron and the ECR injector ion sources),
an optional
conference excursion and a guided tour of LBNL. Papers not
chosen for oral presentation will be encouraged
for poster presentation. The official language of the conference will
be
English.
Berkeley is a 40 minute
drive
north of
the San Francisco International Airport and about a 25 minute drive
from
the Oakland Airport. The conference will start on Monday, September 27,
2004
and will close on Thursday, September 30, 2004.
