What You Need to Know about Cyber Security at Berkeley Lab

CSAR

Welcome to the Cyber Security Annual Refresher course for LBNL Employees and Guests.  This course is designed to remind you of your basic security responsibilities as a citizen of LBNL, and to provide you with actions you can take to protect your computer systems.

As part of the University of California and Berkeley Lab's committment to Integrated Safeguards and Security Management, cyber security responsibility rests with the individual and his or her line management.  That means that you are the person responsible for the security of those systems you use, manage, or maintain.  You must ensure adequate and appropriate security for these systems.

If you cannot do so by yourself, you must engage your line management to get the assistance you need.  Your Division’s Computer Security Liaison and the Laboratory’s Computer Protection Program (CPP) are available to assist you in carrying out your responsibilities.
