Internal Audit Services is the external audit liaison for Berkeley Lab. IAS coordinates communications and data exchange for operational audits and reviews, inspections, and investigations between the Lab and external audit agencies such as the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Government Accountability Office (GAO)(formerly the General Accounting Office) and public accounting firms representing the University of California (UC) or DOE.
