Health Care Facilitator at Berkeley Lab

Health Care Facilitator

Wellness Program

The Lab’s Health Care Facilitator (HCF) Program promotes healthier lifestyles and has designed an activity-centered approach to wellness, for all Lab employees, consisting of activities aimed primarily at changing individual behaviors. Typically, the programs are short duration and are intended to distribute information about the illness or disease. For example, the Wellness Program offers monthly activities that will help all employees develop their own awareness of their general well-being.

The Wellness Program is through the leadership of the HCF and in partnership with the Lab’s Health Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Employee Activities Association, Human Resources, Berkeley Lab Institute, Cafeteria Services, UC Berkeley’s Employee Assistance Program and CARE Services, UC Berkeley’s Health Matters Program, and local businesses/services.  Communication materials are submitted through news articles in Today at Berkeley Lab (TABL) and advertised through displays of materials in general public areas.
