User Apartments: The Advanced Light Source (ALS) at LBNL manages several
two bedroom (4 person) apartments as short term lodging for visiting researchers

Cal Rentals, part of the UC Berkeley Department of Housing and Dining
Services, provides comprehensive rental listings for properties in Berkeley
and surrounding areas. They also offer individual counseling and written
materials on topics such as tenants' rights and responsibilities, tips
for effective house-hunting, and relocation information (neighborhood
descriptions, commute methods, setting up utilities, school information
for families with children, etc.). Be sure to bring your LBNL employee
badge to prove that you are eligible for their services (students at the
Lab may have to pay a $30 fee; check their web site for specifics).
