Explore one of the largest dedicated DNA sequencing operations in the world--practically in your backyard. The tour will guide you through the historic significance of the US Department of Energy's (DOE) and the University of California's role in sequencing the human genome and on to many other organisms (plants, fish, bacteria and fungi) that make up our biosphere. Then see the robotic instrumentation that has take the art of DNA sequencing to an industrial scale.
