Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses capable of providing the following:
A subcontractor who can assist LBNL to consolidate and simplify the new Materials Procurement process. Our Facilities department currently uses eBuy orders, PCard, individual PO's, and there is no control in place for ordering and little tracking of purchases. Following are the main criteria:
Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) Materials include material items purchased for Facilities craft workers including: plumbing, electrical, custodial, PPE, Preventative Maintenance Technicians (PMT), carpentry, lighting, painting, chemicals, gardeners, HVAC, and other specialty items the "lockshop" and "riggers" might purchase. We will have a complete list of parts Facilities (FA) purchases. We will also have a list of the top 20% frequently purchased items that we'll need to have on-hand regularly. We strongly encourage the small businesses teaming with large manufacturers.
LBNL is looking for a subcontractor who provides complete inspection, testing, and periodic maintenance services in accordance with NFPA 25 (latest edition) of the installed water-based fire protection systems at LBNL. The Subcontractor must be a qualified State of California Contractors State Licensing Board Licensed Fire Protection Contractor (C-16) as defined in subsection (b) of Section 7058 of the Business and Professions Code, or a qualified California State Fire Marshal Licensed A (Type 1, Type 2, or Type 3) Concern.
