Budget and Planning System

 

  • Funding Module
    Funding System was developed in-house, using PeopleSoft tools, as a centrally controlled system for entering, allocating, tracking and controlling DOE funding. It allows to manage funding data, eliminate redundant Divisional and Budget Office funds tracking systems, integrate with other LBNL PeopleSoft Financial Systems and provide a reporting function to monitor fund balances.

  • FBSS-Sign On
    Field Budget Submission System (FBSS) was developed in-house, using PeopleSoft tools, as a front end system to load LBNL's proposal information to DOE mandated Electronic Proposal Management Application (ePMA). FBSS allows us to manage our own data security, customize our reporting, integrate with other LBNL PeopleSoft Financial Systems and meet with DOE proposal submission requirements.
  • Janus
    Janus is LBNL's current budget estimating and forecasting system. It was developed in-house using Visual Basic and is a client-based, rather than web-based, system. A new web-based planning and estimating system is currently in development which will replace and expand upon the capabilities of Janus. Delivery is expected in mid-2008.
  • Quick Pricer Tool
    The Quick Pricer is an Excel-based institutional pricing tool available for cost estimating purposes. This tool contains current indirect rates and access to quarterly updated HR data.
