Planning Your Trip: Airport Updates
Effective immediately and through June 6, the Aspen, Colorado Airport will be closed for runway construction. Flight availability to/from Aspen has been removed from the airline computer systems during this period. Service to Aspen will resume on June 7.
United Express in Denver’s International Airport
United’s new United Express facility at Denver’s International Airport will open for its first flight on April 24, 2007. With this expansion, all of United’s operations at DIA will be consolidated on the **B** concourse.
- All United passengers, including those connecting, will now arrive and depart from a single concourse
- Customers will have eight Easy Check-in Units available for use
- The new facility will feature 16 new gates and 13 new jetways
- A more business-travel friendly environment will prevail with more concourse seating, tables and electrical outlets
- More food concessions, including Starbuck’s, Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli and New Belgium Brewing Company, will be available
Domestic Route Updates
- During the period June 9 through September 10, United Express Partner, Skywest, will operate ‘Saturday-Only’ service between San Francisco and Billings, Montana.
- Effective May 1, United will begin daily direct service between San Jose, CA and Raleigh-Durham N.C. United flight 102 will depart SJC each morning at 6:30 AM. After a 40-minute stop in Denver (no plane change) the flight will continue on to RDU arriving at 4:15 PM. United flight 711 will depart RDU each afternoon at 4:58 PM. After a 45-minute stop in Denver (no plane change) the flight will continue on to SJC arriving at 9:16 PM.
- Effective June 7, United Express Partner, Skywest, will begin twice-daily nonstop service between SFO and Palmdale, CA. Flights will be operated in 50-seat Regional Jet aircraft and will be timed to connect to domestic destinations on the West Coast and across the U.S. Palmdale (PMD) is located approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles.
- From June 9 through September 1, 2007, United Express Partner, Skywest, will operate “Saturday Only” service between SFO and Bozeman, Montana.
International Updates
- Effective June 6, United will discontinue service to Montevideo, Uruguay. Customers who have flights booked on UA to/from MVD after June 6 will be rebooked onto other airlines or will receive refunds for unused tickets.
- Effective October 1, 2007, United will discontinue service between Honolulu and Osaka, Japan.
· In the month of October 2007, United will use a 777 aircraft for their service between Washington Dulles Airport and Brussels, Belgium.
