Since 1990, Berkeley Lab technology has formed the basis for over 30 start-ups, creating over 2,000 new jobs in these companies alone. These technologies include solar cells, genomics-related software, nanotechnology, drug development, x-ray imaging, materials sciences processing, biomolecular tagging, and energy-efficiency home improvements.
