• Construction of detector for Kamland
• Handout - Includes objective, activities, and hazards
• Fairly simple set-up
• All users will be trained
• Action Item:  Will be finalized upon completion

 

MESH Review

• Division needs to do a more thorough job
• Training - Only 82% of staff/guests have completed required training
• Ergo Program
• Not very strong
• Large number of people who have not taken EHS60
• Problems with Ergo Database currently being addressed

 

OSHA Inspections

• January 12-23
• Looking at offices and labs
• Send a reminder to responsible parties regarding 01/12 inspection
• Food, microwave ovens in Lab a particular concern
• Also, unlabeled chemicals
• Reminder:  3 ft clearance for electrical panels
• Bookcases in unsafe areas, and items not being stored correctly

• Three more labs remaining
