LDRD Project (Linear Collider) –

- Use of sealed radioactive source
- Use of a laser source
- Beams are directed AWAY from personnel
- Summary by M. Battaglia of work being done, procedures, etc.
- Marco and G. Abrams are the only people who will be handling the source – Both have Rad Training
- Interlocked system will be used for laser
- No construction has been done yet
- Will
attend laser safety class on
- Sealed source authorization is required
- Multi-purpose room: Many people use this room for a variety of projects/experiments
- Signage required, posted, etc.
- Requirements of supervisor –
- Hazard communication
- Accident prevention
- This is required for ALL, even if not operating laser or source
