Professional Photography
Either on location or in our studio, we can visually document your project or experiment. Please call for a consultation (486-5731).
Scanning
We offer high-quality scans of photographic slides, negatives, transparencies, and flat art. Scans are required for making prints, viewgraphs, and slides.
Printing
Fujix Pictrography color prints are continuous tone, digital prints, imaged onto photographic paper. Available in color or B&W, these images are equivalent to photo-chemical prints. Viewgraphs are also available. Epson 1200 produces inexpensive inkjet prints up to 13" x 19" as well as panos.
Slides
Output your digital files to film. Digital files must be submitted in BITMAP or RASTER format. Color and greyscale files should be saved as uncompressed RGB TIFFs in landscape mode with no extra channels. Powerpoint files should be prepared in "35mm Slide" format and have all accompanying EPS files. Troubleshooting problem files is available for an additional charge.
CD Writing
Our digital services include CD writing onto various types of compact disks, including writable CDs with ISO 9660, level 1 & 2, Mac or Windows, HFS, and other formats. This type of CD writing is best for archiving puposes whether text, images, audio or video files. Multisessions are possible.
Poster Printing
Output your digital text and image files to our Encad Novajet Inkjet Poster Printer. Maximum size is 36" x 95."
Laminating and Mounting
Laminating and mounting services are available for posters, maps, CAD plots, diagrams, etc. We also offer custom framing.
Archiving
Archiving ensures a permanent record of your work. It provides future reference and access to your images and guarantees efficient retrieval. LBNL has over one million images on film dating back to the mid-1930s, and 400 Gbs of digital data ranging from historical pictures to current scientific work. We highly recommend you archive your work with us.
