AKA "Bagle.AL," this new Windows-targeting worm is spreading rapidly on the Internet. Avoid opening any unknown attachments you receive. Instead, delete the message that contains the attachment, unless you are absolutely sure that it has been sent by someone you know, you are expecting the attachment, and you know what the attachment is. Beagle.AO is generating infected attachments with names such as price.zip, price2.zip, and newprice.zip.

Whatever you do, avoid forwarding infected emails.

If you have opened any attachment sent by this worm, your system has been infected. Immediately disconnect from the network if you know how to do this. If you need help recovering from this worm, contact the Help Desk at ext. 4357.
