CDs are fast becoming the medium of choice in document preparation. These days, the report you receive is as likely to be read on screen as in your lap. TEID is ready to produce these CDs with its new CD burner.

TEID’s costs for this CD service are surprisingly affordable. Two options are currently offered. In the first, the client provides the master disc and the art to go on the CD label (called “face label art” in CD-burning lingo). For this option, you pay a $35.00 setup fee, plus $2.00 per CD burned. Note that only vector files can be accepted for the face label art. Also, only black-and-white art can be accepted. In the second option, TEID will create the master disc and face label art. For this service you pay TEID’s standard hourly rate of $72 for each hour spent creating the master, the label art, and any proofing and setup time. How long this could take depends on how elaborate the face label art is. CDs are still $2.00 each. In each case, standard “jewel boxes” are $1.00 each, paper cases are 10 cents each, and cardboard mailers are 60 cents each.
