Wale Soyinka Publishes Book on Microsoft Windows 2000
When Wale Soyinka saw a need for Linux computer lab manuals in community colleges, he decided to do something about it. “I’ve written and self-published a series of four manuals about Linux,” Wale said. “The series covers an introduction to Linux, system administration, networking and security.” Wale explained: “It’s difficult teaching and learning Linux in schools in a quasi-controlled environment and in a predictable manner. The manuals make it a little easier - both for the instructor and the student.” So when an education publishing company, Prentice Hall, offered Wale the opportunity to write a student lab manual on Windows 2000, he decided to take it. Wale, who works as a computer systems engineer in the Information Technologies and Services Division (ITSD), published his book titled “Microsoft Windows 2000 Managing Network Environments” this July. The manual is part of the Microsoft certification series, and will help train students for the MCSA Exam 70-218. Read more about his Linux lab manuals
