Recently, a wave of new viruses have been seen which attempt to trick
Lab users into revealing personal financial information. The most recent
virus claims to be from Paypal, an online payment company, but is a scam
to obtain credit card data, which can then be used to make unauthorized
purchases. Unless you are certain of who you are corresponding with, do
not reveal personal information over the Internet. This is especially
true when using unencrypted email, as passwords, credit card number and
other information can be easily sniffed out. The bank account you save
could be your own.
