Sept. 24, Is Last Day to Enroll in Encryption Fundamentals Course
A word to the wise-Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m. is the deadline to enroll
in the upcoming encryption fundamentals course to be taught from 9 a.m.
to noon in the Bldg. 50 auditorium on Thursday, Sept. 26. To enroll visit:

The course will teach the basic concepts of cryptography and techniques
for breaking cryptographic codes, then will move into applications of cryptography
for users and system administrators. Topics to be covered include:
- What is cryptography?
- Types of cryptography
- Cryptanalysis
- Key exchange protocols
- Practical applications (email encryption,
network encryption, desktop encryption, and other topics)
