Odyssey - Space Management and Cost Allocation

Description:
Odyssey is, in fact, an extension of Maximo functionality. Engineered to take advantage of Maximo’s infrastructure, Odyssey was designed and implemented in January 2000. Employing Maximo’s location and resource data structures, Odyssey provides a means for Laboratory units to manage office and laboratory space. It allows a Lab unit to prorate space costs for up to ten different funding sources [projects]. Space charges assessed by the Facilities Division can be allocated to those funding sources at the end of each accounting period. Space reports of occupants and space assignments can be obtained through the ITIS IRIS2 reporting function.

Status:
Operational. Odyssey was implemented in January 2000.

System Requirements:
The client-server version of Maximo requires a minimum of a Pentium 166 MHz running Windows 95 with 128MB of memory.

Access:
Access is limited. Requests must be submitted via the Help Desk; Donna Brown of Facilities to approve.

Problem Reporting:
Staff who encounter problems can call the Laboratory Help Desk at extension 4357. The Help Desk escalates functional problems to Facilities Systems Tier 2 technical support.
