Oracle Database Services

IS offers the following Oracle database services:

• Rent-a-Database: ISS will host a customer's application data in an Oracle database running in the ISS production environment. ISS provides the database, administration of the underlying environment, and Oracle license(s).
• On-Request Database-Related Assistance: The ISS Database Administration group will consult on a customer’s own Oracle database configuration and/or perform specific database work in the customer’s environment (upgrading their version of Oracle, etc.).

At this time, ISS is not able to provide the following services:

• Ongoing database administration of Oracle database(s) running in the customer’s environment
• Installing or configuring Oracle tools in the customer’s environment
• On-request Oracle database support on an operating system other than Unix
• Consultation on a customer's application design
