IS provides web-enabled systems for presenting institutional information to the lab community, including web-based reports, project costing data and other project-related information via the BRS and IRIS applications.
IS maintains an institutional data warehouse containing historical as well as timely and accurate operational data that is available from the Lab's transactional systems, including financial, budget, procurement, human resources, travel, space and property data.
BRS provides web access to this data warehouse. Users have access to predefined reports and flexibility as to how the information is presented and delivered to them. They may subscribe to reports and save report preferences for future use. New reports are added to BRS on a regular basis.
IRIS also provides web access to the data warehouse. It is an older application and will be phased out in the near future as BRS matures and replaces its functionality. No new reports or features are being added to IRIS.
