Novell/NT Server Backups Service
The Computing Infrastructure Support Department offers backup services for Novell and Windows NT servers using Legato Networker. The backups server is a Sun Ultra Enterprise 3500 running Solstice Backup v5.1.1, combined with a DLT 7000, 48 tape jukebox. A Legato Networker client is required on the Novell or Windows NT server.
The CITG server backups service includes:
- Three month tape retention
- Four hour file recovery time
- Once monthly full system backup
- Daily incremental backup
- Easy web interface for backup status
- Offsite storage of tape clones
This service is available for Novell servers running both Netware 4.11 and Netware 5, and Windows NT Server 4.0.
Rates: $25/GB a month, of data backed up
