• HP 8550 (and probably HP printers) need to
  1. enter the printer's "Configuration Menu"
  2. change the "Personality" to "PS" (Postscript)
to make these printers cooperate well with our UNIX DP system. PCL jobs and Postscript jobs both seem to print out OK using the PS setting.
