Computing News Special Bulletin

Laboratory computer users now have access to a new, state-of-the-art suite of on-line technical support services through PCsupport.com, the Computing Infrastructure Support Department (CIS) announced today. The technical support services and experts, called MyHelpDesk, are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will be accessible for a four-month trial period. PCsupport.com is an excellent resource for questions about Windows and standard desktop software.

To access the new PCsupport.com services, go to the CIS home page and follow the PCsupport.com link.

To log in, use your email address name as your user ID and password (for example, if your full address is besmith@lbl.gov, use besmith as both your user ID and password). After you have logged in the first time, you can reset your password by clicking on the "Options" link in the top right corner.

The PCsupport.com system provides a number of innovative support tools: See the September Computing News article for more information.
