Oct. 25 Tech Fair to Showcase Lab Computer Services, Vendors' Products

On Monday, Oct. 25, the Federal Business Council will again sponsor an Information Technology Expo for all interested Lab employees. The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Perseverance Hall, the conference room adjoining the Lab cafeteria in Bldg. 54. The expo is sponsored by the Federal Business Council and is one in a series scheduled to provide employees of government with information about different information technology products and services.

More than two dozen companies are scheduled to attend. They include manufacturers and vendors of workstations, desktop and laptop computers, displays, software, communication products and related services.

Additionally the Lab's Computing Infrastructure Support Department will have displays featuring the Computer Support Help Desk, on-site computer training by AIM, and the services of the Unix Support Group, with a special emphasis on Linux applications.

There will be refreshments and a drawing for prizes, including free on-site computer support services. Beginning Monday, Oct. 11, you can see a list of exhibitors and technologies — or pre-register for this event — by visiting the website.
