Tip of the Month: Changing SSH Font Sizes for LETS Log-ins

If you've already made the switch from "telnet" or "rlogin" to SSH, you may want to adjust the font size for logging in to LETS, the Lab's time-reporting system. It's an easy procedure. Just follow these steps:

  1. Click Edit/Properties/Font
  2. Change font size and hit OK.
  3. Drag the bottom right corner of the screen until it reaches 80x24
  4. Click File/Save

SSH provides a secure connection over networks, protecting your password and other information by encrypting your communication from start to finish. In early 2000, the Laboratory will stop supporting "telnet" and "rlogin", so employees will need to switch to SSH.
