Objectives of the Project
This project allows several important concepts to be communicated to your students:
- A better understanding of pollution helps teach us how to live in order to protect ecosystems for future generations.
- The techniques used in the project are simple, and will introduce students to the scientific method of research. This conceptual experience is valuable in further education and work.
- Cooperation and comunication between different schools and countries is the mode of modern life. Familiarity with the work and cultures of different people in various countries will help us to overcome prejudice and intolerance.
By participating in our project, teachers guide their students through environmental observations about air pollution. Using the Internet, students submit their data to the Student Data Archive. Scientists and other students use these data for their research. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers to integrate computers and the World Wide Web into classroom activities.
