Goals & Caveats |
SULI:The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship is national in scope and is designed to serve students from a range of colleges and universities. CSEE will work to assure that students selected for SULI represent both large and smaller schools from across the nation. |
PST: The Pre-Service Teachers Program is specifically for undergraduate science, engineering, and mathematics students who are planning careers in pre-college teaching. At Berkeley Lab, CSEE partners with the UC "Cal Teach" and CSU “STAR” programs and focuses efforts on those students. |
IISME: Berkeley Lab partners with Industry Initiatives for Science and Mathematics Education (IISME) to provide summer science research experiences for teachers. IISME is a one summer program with the possibility of a repeat appointment. |
BLIPS: Berkeley Lab Internship for Pre-Collegiate scholars provides 7-1/2 week lab-based internships for Bay Area High School Juniors. |

HOW TO BE A MENTOR
*We are able extend the number of participants through leveraging and cost-sharing. Although CSEE will not absolutely require that groups cost-share for a student's support, we give preference to those groups who do.
