5th & 6th Grade Tours
The Center for Science & Engineering Education at Berkeley Lab offers a structured tours program for students in 5th and 6th grades. The activities connect to the science curriculum in the schools and support teaching and learning the Science Standards for California Public Schools. The tours are designed to motivate students to consider careers in science, computing sciences, engineering and technology.

Careers in Science and Technology
Berkeley Lab's Center for Science & Engineering Education provides schools and teachers with speakers representing careers in Berkeley Lab's world of science and technology. Teachers and schools may request a Berkeley Lab speaker for their classes, for career day events, or for science and technology fairs.

Genome Science: 7th Grade Tours
This program for 7th grade life science classes is approximately 2 hours and is available by appointment at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Genome Science Center.

High School Biology tours at the Joint Genome Institute
This program brings AP Biology and Biotechnology classes to the Joint Genome Institute in Walnut Creek for tours of the facility, interaction with research scientists, and hands-on activities.

Nano*High
The Molecular Foundry at the University of California’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) invites teachers and their students to Nano*High, a series of free Saturday morning lectures by UC Berkeley professors and LBNL scientists conducting research on the cutting edge of the exciting new field of nanoscience. 2006-2007 is the fourth year of Nano*High. Last year over 600 students attended.
