
BLEV: Berkeley Lab Educational Visits
Program Description
Berkeley Lab Educational Visits usually include:
- one- to two-hour programs aligned to the California State Science Standards
- a general introduction to the Lab
- an appropriate hands-on activity
- a facility tour linked to subject matter

Audience
- Students and teachers/faculty in grades 6-16 in the greater Bay Area.
- One adult chaperone required for each eight students
- Class or group size limited to 32 students
Key Dates
- Requests accepted: 1 Aug
- Visits begin: 1 Sept
- Visits end: 31 May
Requesting a Visit
- We host a maximum of 24 visits per year, so register as soon as possible.
- Visits available from September through May.
- Visits are only available on Mondays or Fridays.
- Visits are cost-free.

Preparation/
Expectations
- Review the Information Packet
- Review safety requirements for students and adults during the visit.
- After your visit, complete the provided student and teacher evaluation forms and send to CSEE
