Q. I have 4/5 combination class. Can we come?
A. The program is designed for 5th grade students and we do not recommend this. Many teachers bring their classes year after year. This means many times half of the class has already had the program.
Q. We have three 5th grades at our school. Can they all come?
A. No, because of the limited number openings for all schools , the maximum number from one school is two classes.
Q. Can we bring a younger sibling?
A. No, for safety purposes this is not permitted.
Q. Is a cafeteria available?
A. No. Students and adults should bring a bag lunch.
Q. Can we bring a third grade class?
A. No, all activities are based on physical science standards for grades 4 and 5.
Q. Is this visit appropriate for middle school?
A No, the BLAST program or Berkeley Lab Educational Visit (BLEV) for middle and high school should be requested.
Q. My class has 36 students. Can we come?
A. No, for safety reasons the maximum number is 32.
Q: Do I have to pay taxes on the educational stipend I receive while participating in a CSEE internship?
A: LBNL does not issue W2 or 1099 forms for CSEE participants. LBNL is not allowed to give tax advice, please consult a tax professional.
