Building 71 SuperHILAC Removal
Project Description
The goal of the Building 71 SuperHILAC Removal Project is to improve the seismic stability of Building 71 by removing the HILAC (Heavy Ion Linear Accelerator) accelerator tank and heavy steel and concrete shielding blocks that are currently attached to or surrounding the building's structural system. The project budget is $340,000. The project is expected to span from October 2007 to August 2008.
